Her first instant was a
transitory passage through several experiences whith gluing, serigraphy and a great sucession of works connected with the abstraction forms, structuralized in the composition of suggestive and placed spots harmoniously. Fascinated by the movement of nature, the artist obtains the plastic unit, where the process is the proper subject. She has in her atmosphere the influence of the abstract of the 60s, where the pure |
trace predominated, developing plastic experiences, of mystics
environments, of liric and textual meaning, creating new forms of language through her
advanced perception of beauty.
Luma decided to give new decisive skip in her art, going
to a three-dimensional, the sculpture, because she felt that she would have to
insert the figure-object in her work. It was not enough
to make abstract art or substitute the brushes for clay, she needed to break
up with the plane,
to search a new state of creation. At this moment she finds the vital element of all
her research, handicraf, exploring the wide possibilities of the materials and treading
her own language based
in the classic drawing, overpassing the limits of painting and sculpture.
